Series 8K MOAB – 8000 watt RMS NEO Subwoofer
The new 2023 Series 8K is conservatively rated at 8000 watts RMS. Custom designed, manufactured, and built by hand in the USA. All of our 8k magnets are now machined in-house using low carbon American steel and are designed with an 8 pillar count of powerful true N52 grade neodymium magnets. We are also winding our coils in-house, which means they now come standard with 4″ eight-layer flat copper wire voice coils that are wound on .010 tempered aluminum formers with a 3″ winding height and adhesive that is rated at an impressive 500°C. These are the highest temp coils available anywhere!! We are also now manufacturing nomex spiders pressed with phenolic resin in-house with our own Pierce Audio custom-built spider press. This 8K monster handles INSANE amounts of power for extended periods.
All Series 8K’s come standard with either dual 1 or dual 2 Ohm voice coils (Inquire for other options). Sizes include 12″, 15″, 18″,21″, and 24″. Built to order and many custom options available including SPL, Low FS, Pro-Sound, and Home Theater applications. Just ask!
- 8 count true N52 Neo pillar magnet assembly with open pillar venting allowing the coil to cool directly, forcing cool air across the coil winding and neo-mags by using excursion to drive cooling. The further the cone moves the higher the cooling effect.
- Low carbon American steel motor with cross vented 2″ pole vent and 1.375″ thick top plate.
- 10″ progressive red spider pack that are Nomex pressed with phenolic resin.
- Six-spoke long throw cast aluminum baskets.
- 4″ eight-layer flat aluminum wire voice coil wound on a .010 tempered aluminum formers rated at 360c.
- Dual 1 Ohm or dual 2 Ohm voice coils (manufatured in-house).
- Composite cones with carbon fiber face, honeycomb/foam core with glass fiber backing. Solid pure hemp cones also avalible.(Please contact us for more information).
- Multi-layer big roll foam surrounds for long throw and maximum cone area.
- No terminals here! —> 8 ga. direct-connect wire.
All subwoofers are made to order and ship within 4 to 6 weeks. Pierce Audio Inc. offers lifetime technical support on all subwoofers. Custom options are available and may add additional build time and costs to orders.
